Tian Xing Yao pottery village

Tian Xing Kiln Ceramic Art Village is located at Jiji green tunnel. Its early production was mainly traditional stoneware. In 1955, the first generation of the kiln Ms. Lin Chen Mei (the grandmother of Lin Qinghe, the third generation) founded the kiln in Jiji Township, Tianliao old village (now known as Jiji green tunnel) together with her sons Lin Tianqiu and Lin Shuangxi (the second generation).

Since 1980 it has been the oldest existing kiln farm in Nantou with experience in creative and cultural management of ceramics. It began with a special production of practical stoneware containers (urn, cylinder, ceramic tile, etc.) and glazed tile. The old snake kiln has 60-year history. In addition to continuing to develop pottery production and actively promoting inheritance work, the kiln has also led the Jiji Township into a "locomotive" of cultural sightseeing. At present, it still continues to promote the "work of pottery making in Jiji" and is very successful. Inheriting pottery culture and creative life based on traditional pottery products, it continues to inject the spirit of "leisure experience" and "pottery cultural park" into the kiln farm as a model for sustainable development.
