Wen and Han ( Warm & Cold) Bamboo Art Square

Wen Ye Han Bamboo Art Square is devoted to the preservation of bamboo materials, mildew prevention, pest control and the research and development of "preservation of chlorophyll" for bamboo so as to prolong the useful life of bamboo and develop diversified utilization of bamboo materials. Due to its suitable geographical location and good ecological environment, it is the place where rich bamboo material is produced and the quality is universally acknowledged as the highest. These superior conditions have effectively enhanced the development of high value-added bamboo art and the quality of bamboo industry.

After the 921 earthquake, under the guidance of the 921 Reconstruction Committee of the Executive Yuan, through the relevant units, trainees from disaster-affected households were recruited in Zhushan, Jiji, and Zhongliao areas to to join forestry experts of the National Chung Hsing University and Landscape Institute of Tong Hai University for training courses like bamboo art creation and bamboo landscape design and engineering, and a team for bamboo art & design has been lined up. In recent years, in order to enhance the bamboo art industry, in addition to promoting comprehensive bamboo art teaching at relevant universities and colleges throughout the country, they also exchange opinions on design, production and standardization of bamboo art from units affiliated to domestic and foreign green buildings and so on, which are greatly helpful to the overall environmental protection products and green buildings.
